 |
| Tokyo MX, founded in November 1995, was the first local TV station in Tokyo and covers its daily programs with various fields of information and entertainment, including vast political and 4 governmental information programs. Tokyo MX can be received in the area of Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba and Kanagawa prefecture. After establishing fruitful broadcasting collaborations with the TV stations of the cities such as Shanghai (Shanghai Television, since Sep. 2003), New York (NY1, since May 2004) and Seoul (Seoul TV, since Nov. 2005) this alliance between Tokyo MX and ORF is a further step for Tokyo MX to connect city information globally. Tokyo MX wishes to introduce the Viennese lifestyle to Tokyo citizens by collaborating together with ORF on mutual information and news as well as on classic music program exchange. |
 |
| This newly created link between Tokyo MX and ORF is consequently reinforcing a long tradition of the relationship between Japan and Austria. |
